RAG stands for retrieval-augmented generation. In plain terms: instead of asking an AI model to answer purely from what it was trained on, which can be outdated or simply wrong for your business, we connect it to your own content (documents, help articles, product pages, policies) and have it look up the relevant piece before answering. The result is a custom AI assistant that answers with your actual return policy, your actual pricing, your actual process, not a plausible-sounding guess.

This is different from plugging a generic chatbot widget into a site. A RAG chatbot is built around your content specifically, updates when your content updates, and can say “I don't know” instead of inventing an answer when something genuinely isn't covered.
